Building works to surgery

Work started on Thursday 23rd February. We are building an extension to the first floor to provide extra consulting rooms. The work will last until approximately mid May 2023. During this time we will continue working despite significant disruption – the 4 ground floor consulting rooms will be out of use until early April 2023. We have created 2 temporary consulting rooms in the large waiting area. Initially we will work with these 2 rooms and the 3 consulting rooms on the first floor. By April we should have the 4 ground floor consulting rooms functional again while work continues on the first floor.

We ask for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.

Many thanks – the staff at Springfield Medical Centre.

BABY VACCINATION CLINIC ARRANGEMENTS

Childhood Vaccination Clinic arrangements from Tuesday 24th March 2020 in response to Coronavirus Pandemic

If you have received a card to come to the clinic or you’re planning to come because your child is due a vaccination please note the following:

If your child has a cough or raised temperature please do not attend for vaccination until this has resolved (this has always been the advice)

If any household member currently has cough or raised temperature, please defer attendance for vaccination for at least 2 weeks

We have had to alter the arrangements in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. We will try to contact the parents of those patients we know are due to attend to explain the temporary arrangements. If you are planning to come to the clinic on Tuesday and have not been contacted, please note the following:

• Please call the surgery first to speak to a receptionist who will confirm the vaccination that is due and then give you an approximate time to come to the surgery. It’s vital that we have a mobile number to contact you.

We are grateful for your understanding in these challenging times.
